Maryam was born in 1981. She has an MA in Graphic Design from Tehran Universty of Art. She is a painter and illustrator. Her favorite genre is fantasy. The books she has illustrated for Houpa include the Magic Potion of the Abandoned Factory, the Whipping Boy, and the Witch of the 8th floor.
